About Horton Barns

Horton Barns was founded in 1996 specialising in the construction of quality oak-framed buildings.  Operating in the South of England in the beginning, we now cover a much wider area.

We pride ourselves on being a family run company which is small enough to not forget all the attention to detail and work closely with our clients to produce an outstanding finished product.

We respect we are working within our client’s homes and gardens and we take the utmost care to ensure minimal disruption as best we can. 

Horton Barns design in-house using the latest CAD software.  We offer a full service which includes initial consultation, design, quotation, planning, groundworks, construction and roof tiling.  Though if you only need the supply of the frame, we are happy to undertake this too. 

We are NHBC registered and able to offer the service of undertaking full construction for new build properties.

Our joinery workshop uses the latest technology as do our groundworkers and carpenters when they are on site.  We make all our own joinery items in-house, such as oak stairs, windows and doors.  We have successfully combined the best of modern methods of manufacturing and state of the art technology with traditional craftsmanship.

There is nothing like oak as a building material, known for its strength, durability and beauty.  Many admire the craftsmanship of an oak-framed building from the traditional joints that are pegged and draw-bored to the skilled and experienced carpenters who develop the design into a majestic building of your dreams.
